TTC Cares

TTC Cares

A decade ago, the TTC team challenged ourselves to do better. We created The TreadRight Foundation and started on journey to ensure that the places we live in and visit, the wildlife we love, and the planet we call home remain vibrant for generations to come.

Our goal is to
#MAKETRAVELMATTER

The TreadRight Foundation sits at the heart of TTC’s commitment to leave a positive impact. Our Foundation helps bring TTC’s vision of sustainability to life through its three key pillars: people, wildlife, and the planet.

EDocs

The Travel Corporation has always believed that travel and tourism companies play a vital role in protecting the world’s natural habitats, cultural heritage sites and the communities where we live and where we travel to. In 2017 we launched our e-docs program, giving travel agents and guests the opportunity to have their travel documents sent to them electronically. When you choose e-docs, we plant a tree in your name.

Plastics

In 2018, TTC led the industry by becoming the first global tour operator to commit to the elimination of all avoidable single use plastics.

By 2022, Trafalgar, Costsaver, Insight Vacations, Luxury Gold, Uniworld Boutique River Cruise ships, U River Cruise ships, all Red Carnation Hotels and all travel experiences will have eliminated all unnecessary single use plastics. With 1.9 million travelers annually across the group, it is estimated that TTC’s effort has the potential to help eliminate the use of millions of plastic water bottles annually.

TreadRight & The SDGs

The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations are a blueprint for peace and prosperity, people and the planet, now and into the future. At TreadRight, we’ve aligned with these goals in order to ensure that our efforts enable us and our partners to make travel matter.

PEOPLE. WILDLIFE. PLANET.

As a Diamond Sponsor of the UN International Year for Sustainable Tourism for Development, we’ve joined forces with leaders from across the travel industry to help drive sustainable development around the world.

We’re encouraging the many travellers who explore the planet with our award-winning brands to do so in a positive and sustainable manner; educating them on the importance of learning about local customs, traditions and social practices; respecting wildlife and their natural habitats; reduce water and energy waste; treading lightly; and guiding travellers on how to become ambassadors for good in their own life when they return home by sharing their knowledge and rewarding experiences. Please join us and make your travel matter.
